the PERFECT Green Bean

This recipe is just too good not to share! My world was changed the day my mom taught me how to make these green beans. They are perfect! And don't be scared that you're messing them up if they start turning 'burned', I promise they are not...and you & your family will LOVE them.


1 lb. green bean (washed)

2 TBSP oil

1 tsp salt (or to taste)

1 tsp pepper (or to taste)


Fill a large stockpot 3/4 the way full with water. Place on burner to high heat, until water boils. Pour the green beans into the stockpot and boil for 3 minutes. Pour the green beans into a colander and run cold water over it for 60-90 seconds.

In the same stockpot, or use a sauté pan, heat 2 TBSP of oil on medium-high. Pour the green beans into the stockpot and add salt & pepper. Cook For 10 minutes on medium-high, toss occasionally.

Keep on low heat or place in oven on low, until ready to eat.
