 When I became a celiac, I wondered, would I ever get my mom's dumplings!? We never did gravy, because the dumplings were the perfect touch to our turkey feast!   After years, this is it! This recipe takes me back to the wonderful. goodness of my mom's dumplings! And better yet, there 100% gluten-free.  This is one you will want to make time for, we promise! 



1 favorite gluten free bread dough (refrigerated for atleast 1 hour )

1 stick butter (Land-o-Lakes unsalted) or 4 TBSP Earth Balance for dairy alternative

4 containers gluen free chicken broth 

Salt to taste (Kosher)

1 tsp Pepper (or to taste) (McCormick)

1 tsp Garlic (McCormick)

1 tsp lemon pepper blend (or use lemon zest & extra pepper) (McCormick)

1 tsp onion powder (McCormick)

Gluten-free all purpose flour



In a large sauce pan, melt butter on medium heat, right before it's completely melted, add chicken broth and bring to boil.  Add spices.  Pull dough to the size of about a quarter and roll in gluten free flour, drop in boiling water.  Continue until all the dough is gone, stirring occassionally. Let the dumplings simmer for 15 minutes, still stirring occasionally. If the sauce does not thicken, in a small glass add a 1-2 Tbsp off flour in 1 Tbsp water and stir until a paste forms.  Then add it to the sauce pan. 


Season to taste. This is also great leftovers with gluten free sausage for breakfast!
